After due consideration, Louis Group identified the Isle of Man as a perfect administrative base for its European interests. The Group was impressed by the island’s reputation as an ‘offshore’ jurisdiction, its exemplary financial regulatory framework and its AAA ratings from both Moodys and Standard & Poors.
The Isle of Man property portfolio comprises of a mix of office and industrial properties which have all been upgraded to modern specifications. The portfolio includes the magnificent Abbey National Building which accommodates the needs of Abbey National Bank, the second-largest mortgage provider in the United Kingdom.
All the other properties are located in and around the island’s capital, Douglas. As a result of their prime locations, the properties enjoy no vacancies and are all leased on fully repairing and insuring terms to either financial services companies, private firms, solicitors, auditors or banks.
The Group has taken a long-term view on its investment in the Isle of Man, and will seek to grow the property portfolio on the island steadily. Louis Group is licensed in the Isle of Man for investment and corporate services business and has, as a result, become both a respected property company and an influential contributor to the financial services industry on the island.
