The Group always oversees the demographic, environmental impact, structural and economic research conducted prior to the property development. However, once the project is initiated, Louis Group’s primary area of expertise lies in the provision and oversight of financial engineering. This approach enables all partners to exercise their strengths and to collectively provide a comprehensive property development service.
In keeping with the Group’s strategic intent, there is an increased focus on property development and recent or current notable developments include:
- Century Falls: a ZAR100 million contemporary office park in Century City, South Africa;
- Madission: a retail and office development with exclusive residential apartments in Umhlanga, South Africa;
- The Devon Valley Hotel: the redevelopment of state-of-the-art conferencing and accommodation facilities in Stellenbosch, South Africa; and
- Northridge Mall: the redevelopment of a 18,000m2 retail mall in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
South Africa is a developing land of opportunity, and therefore Louis Group (Africa) will pursue further development opportunities as and when they arise.
