Louis Group (Africa) Technology provides diverse yet comprehensive services to meet our clients’ technology and communication needs. Our technology division conceptualises, designs, implements and manages leading cost-effective solutions, which have consistently surpassed industry benchmarks.
South Africa has made significant strides in the technology industry with the launch of vehicle tracking on GPRS technology in 2003 and being the second country in the world to implement broadband. Louis Group’s technology division is strategically positioned to capitalise on current and future developments in the technology arena and to ensure that our clients receive the maximum benefit of best-of-breed applications and our diverse services.
Louis Group Technology is comprised of the following three companies:
SMARTSURV WIRELESS
SmartSurv Wireless creates and manages leading, cost-effective wireless solutions which use cellular network infrastructure. The company’s principal focus is on vehicle surveillance and tracking devices, but we also have the capacity to develop customised products in any asset class. SmartSurv’s professional call centre ensures that all assets are constantly tracked and that the necessary recovery mechanisms can be released when assets are tampered with or go missing.
AV ALLIANCE
AV Alliance was formed as a subsidiary company of Louis Group (Africa) for the primary purpose of supporting the audio visual requirements of the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). AV Alliance continues to be the preferred service provider to the CTICC and has recently also been listed as the preferred supplier to the ICC Durban. AV Alliance joins the best-of-breed specialists in the fields of sound, lighting, projection, delegate participation and IT. The Alliance delivers the complete spectrum of the required technologies and services to the conferencing and events industries, with specialists in each field.
iCAT
iCAT provides customised, integrated IT solutions for the business environment, including network design and support, project management and technological development. iCAT has successfully integrated satellite communication solutions; integrated the communication and audio-visual infrastructure of the CTICC; designed and implemented administration systems for the insurance industry; and developed multi-level security systems. iCAT has also managed the IT infrastructure of The Sports Science Institute of South Africa for a number of years.
